Overlapping pickets of roughly 1–1.5 inches create full visual privacy. Heavy steel posts are spaced 6 feet apart and set 36 inches deep in Maximizer concrete.
Side-by-side 6-inch standard or 3-inch dog-ear pickets with 8-foot post spacing.
1x4 or 1x6 boards mounted horizontally for a clean contemporary profile.
Steel posts can be wrapped in cedar so the fence reads as all wood while keeping steel structure underneath.
2x4 rough-cut cedar rails, Simpson Strong-Tie single-piece steel brackets, 2x6 pressure-treated kickboard, plus cedar top cap and trim crown.
